Great part of Brazil's agriculture depends on bees' polinization

It is in the persistent jumping from flower to flower, in search of pollen and nectar, that bees act in the maintenance of ecosystems.

It is not easy to observe a little bee and imagine that the existence of all humanity is directly related to that simple being.

Of the 107 main agricultural crops, 90% are visited by bees. In addition to increased production, pollinated flowers, in general, have more seeds, better shape, flavor, durability and nutritional value.

The annual value of ecosystem services provided to agriculture in Brazil has been estimated at US$12 billion.

Almost 50% of crops are essential or heavily dependent on pollinators.

In soybeans, the main Brazilian agricultural product, the increase in productivity promoted by bees is only moderate and, even so, is estimated at 5 billion dollars.

The benefit to agribusiness does not change the fact that agriculture is primarily responsible for bee mortality.
